March Sermon Series

 OPPOrtunity's threshold

March always feels like a turning of the page. The cold gray of winter begins to soften, and the first hints of green push through the soil. Spring brings new life, new color, and a quiet promise that what appeared dead was only waiting for the right season to rise again. It’s no accident that the word “Lent” itself comes from an old word meaning “spring.” Lent is the church’s springtime—a holy season when God invites us to wake up, to be pruned and renewed, and to make room for the new life He is growing in us as we walk with Jesus toward the cross and the empty tomb.

This March, our sermon series will walk right into that invitation. We’ll be exploring how God opens doors before us—doors that often lead through wilderness, resistance, and uncertainty—and how the Holy Spirit gives us courage to step through them. From “The Door and The Desert” to the hope-soaked path of Holy Week, we’ll learn what it means to recognize God’s opportunities, trust His power instead of our own, persevere through opposition, and obey Him in ways that open doors for others to encounter Christ. As the world around us comes back to life, I’m praying this Lenten “spring” season will awaken fresh faith, deeper obedience, and renewed hope in each of us.
