April Sermon Series

 OPPOrtunity's threshold

As April rains refresh the earth and coax new life from the soil, we’re reminded that growth often begins in seasons of waiting and wonder. Just as showers soften the ground for future bloom, God sometimes softens our hearts through closed doors and divine detours. Throughout Scripture—and especially in this Easter season—we see that what first seems like an ending often becomes a holy beginning. The tomb sealed in silence becomes the open door of resurrection. The “no” we fear gives way to the greater “yes” of God’s redemptive plan.

This month’s new message series, “Closed: Divine Redirection”, will guide us through life’s unexpected turns with stories of closed paths, unanswered prayers, and deferred dreams. From the risen Christ opening locked doors to Paul’s Spirit-led detours in Acts, we’ll learn how God’s direction—though mysterious—is always shaped by grace. Just as April’s rains prepare the way for May’s flowers, the Lord’s redirections prepare us for growth we could never have imagined. Let’s step into this month together, trusting that every closed door shines with resurrection light on the other side.
