The First Step
Are you a professing Christian? This is the most important question you'll ever ask yourself. In order to be a member of any church, you must profess Christ as your savior. (Romans 10:9-10 & Philippians 2:10) If you're note sure, take a look at our About page that explains what Salvation is. We also recommend you visit our page on who Jesus is.
What is Church membership and why should I join?
Church membership is not about what you get by joining our congregation (common misconception). Joining a Church is about what the church can do, through Christ, for the world. Together, we can cast a bigger net than any one individual could ever do alone. Our gifts allow us to serve people in a unique way and the more individuals we have, the greater communal impact we can make. Our goal is to focus on them (missional focus), not us (attractional focus.) How can you and I go out and serve the Lord together?
How do I join?
Joining Halls FMC is very simple. We ask 3 questions. If you can answer "yes" to these questions, you can be a member.
1) Do you profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior?
2) Will you support the ministries of this church through your service, prayers, presence, and offerings?
3) Will you continue to strive to be a living example of what it means to be a follower of Christ in our community and the world?

- Membership is God's original plan and desire for his followers. ( Hebrews 10:25 )
- God's church is global. As such, it is important to remember that you and I are his hands and feet to this world and that it was for the whole world that he died. Joining a local church allows you opportunities to serve in a capacity that has an impact locally, and worldwide. (John 3:16 )
- Membership provides accountability for you, and through you, to others. By your membership, you are professing out loud to your community that you support the mission of God's church and are answering his call on your life to serve him through your specific giftedness. (1 Peter 4:10)( Matthew 20:27-28 )
- Membership connects you to a spiritual community that offers you opportunities to strengthen your faith through worship, service, discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism. Your spiritual growth strengthens you to greater service and responsibility in the faith...allowing you to impact more lives. Essentially, it allows you a place to Love, Learn, and Lead. ( Matthew 22:37-40)(Matthew 28:18-20)
